SEABOB has released a brand-new safety case for superyachts carrying lithium-ion batteries, which complies with the Maritime Guidance Note MGN 681 (M) from the UK’s Maritime and Coast Guard Agency.
The new SEABOB safety case features an automatic extinguishing system that can be controlled via a smartphone or tablet.
All kinds of electrically powered water sports products and lithium-ion batteries can be stored in the SEABOB safety case. The safety system also has a catalyst that filters out and neutralises harmful gasses.
Claus Gruner, CEO at CAYAGO Americas, commented, “We’re excited to introduce a new and secure way to store your SEABOB-Jets on board. The Safety Case is manufactured in Germany, using high-quality materials, and will give superyacht captains and owners an enjoyable yachting experience.”
SEABOB will be displaying the new safety case at the 2024 edition of Miami International Boat Show, taking place from 14th to 18th February.
